SPP is payable for up to two weeks during the first 56 days following childbirth or adoptive placement. You are entitled to SPP if:

  1. You have been continuously employed by the Company for at least 26 weeks at the end of the Qualifying Week (15 Weeks before expected week of birth or week you are matched).
  2. You meet the average weekly earnings limit (£120pw as of April 2019) for National Insurance contributions in the eight weeks up to and including the Qualifying Week.
  3. You have completed a self certification form by the end of the Qualifying Week or seven days after the notification of adoptive placement.
